As a consequence, the penetration of irritants and other harmful substances into the skin and the transepidermal water loss out of the skin are increased. Consumers distinctively discriminate itchiness among the many symptoms of sensitive skin. They also perceive itchiness as being the result of an inflammatory chain reaction calling for intelligent skin care.
